experimental platforms and sites

The studies led by the project are implemented and are tested on two underwater platforms:
  • the téléopéré underwater robot PHANTOM
  • The autonomous underwater robot MAUVE
and some terrestrial mini-robots:
  • mini-robots KHEPERA, equipped with a black and white SONY mini-camera.
Thanks to our co-operation with Thomson-Marconi Sonar (which is also partner in the two European projects, NARVAL and SUMARE), we can carry out tests of the underwater platforms in the swimming pools of their site in Sophia Antipolis.

A collaboration with the Observatoire Océanologique de Villefranche-sur-Mer enables us to carry out tests at sea, near the site of Sophia Antipolis

The reduced size of the Khepera mini-robots allows the fast validation and the realization of the first phases of studies in our installations at the I3S
