Short Bio
I was born in 1978 in Palermo, Italy.
In 2002 I received the Laurea
(M.S.) degree in Mathematics cum laude at the University of Palermo.
In 2006 I received the Ph.D. in Mathematics at the University of
Palermo and the Ph.D. in
Computer Science at the University Paris-Est Marne-la-Vallée, France (joint Ph.D.).
From 2005 to 2008 I had an Assegno di Ricerca (research position) at the University of Salerno, Italy.
From 2008 to 2009 I was a post-doctoral fellow at the University of Salerno.
From 2009 to 2010 I was a post-doctoral fellow at the Laboratoire I3S
of Sophia Antipolis, France.
From September 2010 I am Attaché Temporaire d'Enseignement et de Recherche (research and teaching assistant) at the University of Nice - Sophia
Antipolis.
My research focuses on the combinatorics on words and its applications. I am interested in combinatorial problems on words and in the applications of the combinatorics on words in several fields of theoretical computer science.
I am member of GDR IM (Groupement de Recherche Informatique Mathématique), member of GRIN (Gruppo di Informatica), member of SMF (Société Mathématique de France), member of EATCS (European Association for Theoretical Computer Science) and member of GNSAGA (Gruppo Nazionale per le Strutture Algebriche Geometriche e le loro Applicazioni) at INdAM (Istituto Nazionale di Alta Matematica "Francesco Severi").
