jeudi 16 mai 2024

Professor Kamal Youcef-Toumi from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) will present the seminar « AI or the Human Brain : Who Will Lead the Future of Intelligence ? ». The seminar will be held on 16 May at 2.00 p.m Campus SOPHIATECH - Site les Templiers - Bâtiment Forum.

Abstract :
Artificial Intelligence (AI) makes many tasks quick, easy, and safer for humans, but it can also be confusing and misleading. Is a human brain still necessary for making intelligent decisions, or can we rely on AI processes ? To demystify AI, this presentation will first explore key concepts and fundamental principles underlying some AI methodologies.

Professor Kamal Youcef-Toumi, a researcher in control systems and robotics at MIT, will shed light on how these methods work and their potential limitations.
He will present these insights by drawing on various advancements in the fields of robotics, automation, and computer technologies, focusing on the practices of private and public organizations striving to stay competitive through the adoption of technology.

In the end, we will collectively question whether AI or the human brain will lead the future of intelligence.
